The purpose of this document is to define the individual features/requirements for the product. Each feature (or group of related features) listed in the Product Definition Document will be detailed in a Feature Definition Document. It may contain graphical process models, data flow diagrams and user matrices as applicable.
An FDD includes:
- Scope, overall description of the particular product feature group being discussed
- Data flow requirements
- Screen navigation
- Database specifics
- System Features (user sequence, design, messages, database fields, screen print, time estimate)
